Latest reports reveal that Ryan Reynolds landed the much coveted role of DC Comic’s Green Lantern after a tough competition. And, how is Scarlett Johansson in the picture? It’s simple. The major contenders for the role are all connected to her.

First, as already mentioned, Ryan Reynolds, her husband, got the role. Next, Bradley Cooper who had an affair with her in He’s Just Not That Into You, is also one of the contenders. Lastly, joining the list is Jared Leto who had a fling with the lovely Scarlett.

Does this mean that Scarlett is about to do a supporting lady role on a comic movie film soon? Well, there aren’t much reports yet about that. In the meantime, let’s enjoy how much of a coincidence it is that Scarlett’s walled up by men related to her, all because of Green Lantern.

The couple had an argument last March 2009 about bikes. Scarlett expresses her distress saying ‘accidents are just around the corner’.

A recent sighting, however, reports Scarlett riding at the back of the bike with Ryan.

Reports say that filming with Samuel L. Jackson has been shot for the upcoming release of Iron Man 2. Scarlett Johansson, one of the role-holders, is working for the scenes with Jackson and Robert Downey Jr.

This year would have seen the start of the filming of a star-studded Hollywood blockbuster about Mary Queen of Scots. Scarlett Johansson would have played the role of the Scottish queen.

The film which stars Scarlett with the lead role was supposed to start in Scotland and Ireland later this year. However, due to the current economic climate, the film won’t go on this year as Capitol Films went broke.

The film was expected to boost Scotland’s tourism as Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh Castle, and other key locations were planned to be shot. The shoot is planned to be done in future times instead. The filming is supported by First Minister Alex Salmond.
